Rory Mcilroy’s Vison becomes Reality
Holywood Golf Club
Rory Mcilroy wanted to give something back to his hometown golf club in Northern Ireland. The initial concept was to make a health and performance suite within the existing complex. Initial concepts were then devised of a health and performance suite. To leave a long-lasting legacy 5 simulator bays were added along with a bar/corporate entertainment space, a restaurant update, kitchen area expansion, and a new reception area. To allow space for these upgrades the 18th green also needed to be lifted and relocated.

- December 2017 – Tendering process for building contractor

- 1st April 2018 – Builder site set up and preliminaries
- 1st May 2018 – Building commences
- 27th March 2019 – Build complete and handover to club
- 1st April 2019 – Gym and simulator fit-out
- 1st May 2019 – Grand Opening
